Case IH Unveils 2130 Early Riser Stack-Fold Planter
Ag equipment manufacturer Case IH recently added a new model to its 2000 Series Early Riser planter lineup. The Case IH 2130 Early Riser offers the same reliable performance for corn and soybean growers but has been redesigned to deliver better results when it comes to specialty crops, including cotton, peanuts, dry edible beans, and more.
Accurate & Efficient
The 2130 is a stack-fold mounted three-point hitch model that’s ideally suited to high-tech strip-till and flood irrigation operations. Case IH offers the machine in five configurations: a 12-row, 30-, 36-, 38-, or 40-inch row spacing configuration, or a 16-row model with 30-inch row spacing. The new planter can handle a variety of terrains at high speeds, largely thanks to the rugged new row unit and optional bulk-fill tank, factory-fit liquid fertilizer system, and wing downforce.
Like other Case IH 2000 Series Early Riser planters, the machine is capable of maintaining maximum flotation with virtually zero compaction thanks to its even weight distribution. Other features include fast stacker folding, agronomically designed ground-engaging components that ensure precise seed placement and depth for the highest yields possible, and a solid, durable frame.
Optional Extras
Case IH customers can also get the new planter outfitted with on-row hoppers direct from the factory, though Case IH claims that the bulk-fill tank is more efficient and provides more than 120% more seed capacity on a 12-row planter and 60% more capacity on a 16-row planter when compared to on-row hoppers.
The liquid fertilizer system option lets tractor operators cut their time spent in the field by letting them apply starter fertilizer in-furrow, using any aftermarket tank mounted to the front or sides of the tractor. The fertilizer system is also managed by Case IH’s Advanced Farming Systems Pro 700, which the operator can tap into using the in-cab touch-screen control center.
